Georgia Private Investigator Certification Course

IntelliQuest Consulting, Inc. offers the Georgia Private Investigator Certification Course required by the Georgia Secretary of State’s office. This course satisfies the education requirement for state licensing as a private investigator. This is a 70 hour course that runs for 11 weeks and meets two nights a week for three and a half hours each night. Students will receive instruction and perform practical exercises in topics including, but not limited to:

Firearms Certification and Re-Certification

IntelliQuest Consulting, Inc. offers firearms certification and recertification courses that satisfy requirements as set forth by the Georgia Secretary of State’s office and the Georgia Board of Private Detectives & Security Agencies. The certification course is 16 hours and is taught on the first and third Saturday of each month. The first session is comprised of eight hours of classroom instruction while the second session is eight hours on the firing range. The re-certification course is four hours and is comprised of a two-hour safety briefing and review and two hours on the firing range. The student must use the “carried weapon” and must comply with all classroom and range policies.

* Selection of the proper ammunition, holster and equipment
* Weapon Retention Techniques

* Qualifying Course of Fire

Firearms Training

Firearms training is available to the general public in the form of organized courses as well as private lessons. Courses offered are the NRA (National Rifle Association) courses. Featured courses are the NRA "First Steps" for beginning handgun shooters, "Personal Protection Inside the Home" which focuses on legal defense of a dwelling and "Personal Protection Outside the Home" which teaches legal and effective concealed carry. Firearms training for youth (12 - 21 years of age) is available if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Continuing Education

IntelliQuest Consulting, Inc. offers courses that satisfy the continuing education requirements as set forth by the Georgia Secretary of State’s office and the Georgia Board of Private Detectives & Security Agencies. Training will include two hours in Homeland Security (to include, but not limited to, indicators of terrorism and cooperation with Homeland Security agencies), two hours in Ethics and 12 hours in industry-related training. Firearms training will be available as part of this curriculum and will satisfy the firearms re-certification requirements as set forth by the state board.
